Our hotel is close to Trento, Bolzano and Merano. Three little jewels of cities which, during the winter season -- between the end of November and the beginning of January -- are enriched by the atmosphere provided by traditional Christmas markets.
Trento
If you stay at Hotel Cavallino Bianco, we offer a guided tour of Trento once a week. You can admire Buonconsiglio Castle, the Cathedral with its stunning piazza and the Torre Civica bell tower, as well as many other things. Out of all the museums found in the Trentino capital, the brand new Science Museum (MUSE) designed by Renzo Piano stands out thanks to the way it is able to engage both adults and children, allowing them to discover science in a fun way.
Merano
Bolzano and Merano, the two main cities in the Alto Adige region, are just 45km from Rumo. In Merano you'll see that nature integrates beautifully with all the lovely buildings and museums. The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are not to be missed: a natural amphitheatre that spreads over 12 hectares and looks out over the city of Merano. Here you'll find 80 botanic environments with plants from all over the world. The castle boasting more than seven centuries of history is nestled in the centre of the gardens.
Bolzano
The capital of the Alto Adige region is also found 45km away from out hotel. A visit to Bolzano will allow you to get that much closer to the Dolomite air. Considered as being a real gateway to the Dolomites, you need to pass through here if you want to get to the top of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to casual strolls through the streets, in Bolzano you can also see one of the most famous mummies in the world: Otzi, the ice-man, is kept at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano.
